Time to bend that algorithm
To our will!
We heard the call for someone to publish books for boys, and we answered. We’re getting a boy’s adventure book on the ground every month, but all of the calling and yelling for boy’s books …
… Isn’t translating into sales.
Near as we can tell, we — Raconteur Press — just don’t have the name recognition yet. People don’t even know who we are, much less that we’re publishing boy’s adventure novels.
And it’s not for lack of effort — we’ve done everything short of having Nick get up on a table at a convention and do a fan-dance.1
It’s just that our little press just … blends into the background noise.
So. We’re going to try a little something.
Apparently, on X the first 30 minutes after a post goes up is the most important time as far as the algorithm-monkeys are concerned.
If you have an X account — or know someone who does — we’re going to put up a post about Plasma Pulp: Lost Worlds tomorrow (23 JAN 26) at 0800 hours Central time.
Sometime between 0800 and 0830, if you’d ‘Like’ the post, and then add some sort of comment, we’re going to see what it does to our visibility.

If you can’t get on that early, that’s okay, ‘Like’ and comment anytime, but we’re trying to see if we can bend the ‘rithm to up our visibility.
Thanks!
Ian and Rita
Don’t make us do that.

What is this about Lost Worlds? I'm always up for a new good book
Not on X, but I'm about to order Lost Worlds (paperback) for my young bloke. He hasn't shut up about the second one's arrival since he knocked off the first one. Maybe now I'll get some peace and quiet...
