In fact, for quite some time I think they were illegal to wear in public in the US under the general ban on wearing masks. Remember those days?
I note that the guy who was arrested for attempted murder of Russell Vought was also charged with wearing a mask in public. Those were state laws not national ones but it is still on the books in MD. He had a surgical mask like all the loonies still afraid of COVID.
