On the “72 Hour Rule” post, Martin Caskey asks, “I do have one question. Where do we go from here?”
First off, we stop talking about, hoping for, or even mentioning civil war. Ian — a witness to, and survivor of, the civil wars/ bush wars/ tribal conflicts/ “semi-organised skullduggery” of Africa and the Middle East of the 1960s and 1970s — has an extremely corrosive rant on the subject. If we can get the swear words pruned out he may publish a version of it here, but the crux of his thoughts on the subject is that civil war in any form is the last in a long line of options for the country.
Your public persona needs to become “Polite, but prepared”. Don’t engage the idiots on social media — you’re not going to change their minds, and they live for the engagement. It feeds them. So, cut them off from their supply. Starve them. Engage their employers, their educational institutions, their support systems, but be polite and courteous while doing so. Remember that they want hysterical rage, it makes them happy. Give them, instead, cold preparedness. That makes them nervous, and nervous folks will start changing things on their side.
Do not go looking for trouble — trouble may come looking for you, and by all means deal with it, but do not go looking for it. The Legacy Media are not our allies, and will be looking for any tiny scrap that they can blow up to make their side look good, and our side look bad. Don’t give it to them.
Seek training. Training in fighting, in weapons, in first aid, in preparedness. If you already have such training, good for you, now get more. The Legacy Media and the politicians do follow such things. If they see a doubling, tripling, or ten-fold increase in citizens getting such training, they’ll get nervous, and nervous folks will start changing things on their side.
If you’re physically fit, get fitter. If you’re not, start lifting weights and working out. Their side is a lot of noodle-armed, couch-surfing, cheeto-stained squishies — command presence is a thing, and looking physically capable oft stops stupidity before it begins. Start practicising such.
Stop supporting the idiots. If your local university hosts a “Bash the Fash” meeting, write them an open letter — be cold, courteous, calm, and come correct with your facts — make sure they get a copy, that another copy is posted publicly, and then pull your children and your funding from that institution. And follow through.
If your local school has a teacher being stupid — write the school an open letter — be cold, courteous, calm, and come correct with your facts — and pull your children and your funding. Then follow through. If the school won’t listen, bring an open letter to the next school board — be cold, courteous, calm, and come correct with your facts — explaining why you will not be re-electing those folks. And follow through.
Legacy Media is not your friend. Stop watching their channels, stop going to their websites, stop clicking on their adverts. We cut off their market share, and their funding — we get them in the wallet — along with an open letter (see above) and they’ll start changing things.
Stop tolerating idiot politicians. If your elected official is slap-happy with the words “Nazi”, “fascist”, or anything similar — open letter time (see above), explaining that you will no longer send them donations, and that they will not receive your vote. If your elected offical isn’t being stupid, send the open letter — be cold, courteous, calm, and come correct with your facts — asking why they’re tolerating the idiots. Are they calling and voting for censure? Removal of prime committee seats? If they’re not, calmly inform them that you will be voting and funding replacements who will. And follow through.
You want to see things change? Get them in the wallet. Take away their prestige. Send them into the obscurity of retirement. Let them see all of the above happen to their compatriots who won’t listen.
Is this course of action sexy? No.
Is it hard work? Yes.
Provide instant gratification? No.
Fantasy fulfillment? No.
It’s going to be a long, hard, boring haul, with no glory, no sexy violence, and no wish fulfillment, but it’s a course of action to change things without blowing everything to Kingdom Come.
Ian and Rita.

So leave the monkey-motion to those who are devoted to their operant conditioning?
Well said. And a much-needed message. Cooler heads NEED to prevail lest we face a cataclysm unlike anything the world has witnessed in decades, if not centuries.
