Violent people don't like you
Start training like it.
31 JUL 2003, Derek Rogers was visiting Maine from Canada when he met a brother and sister on a beach. After alcoholic beverages were consumed, the brother and sister allege that Mr Ward called the sister a slur, so they beat him unconscious.
After he was unconscious, the sister stuffed hands-full of sand down his throat until he suffocated.
Initially charged with murder, the siblings plea-bargained down to manslaughter, the sister getting a ten-year sentence in prison.
Fast forward to November of 2025, and the sister — Angela Walker — ran as an Independent for a seat on the City Council of Bangor, Maine. Well, she claimed “Unaffiliated”, but her campaign was sponsored by these guys — about as Progressive as one might want.
Not only did the fact that she murdered a man by stuffing sand down his throat not prevent her from being elected, but the good comrades of Bangor have announced that her election proves that people can change.
Huh.
We also have the newly-elected Attorney-General of Virginia, who not only openly fantasised about personally shooting the children of an opponent in front of the children’s mother, but offered a lame excuse when his texts about political violence were published.
Which didn’t seem to bother the good comrades of Virginia in the least, since they promptly voted him into office.
Huh.
And, of course, we have the Maine — see above — midterm election for Senator next year. Where the progressive side of things is being represented by a man who wore the death’s head tattoo of the Nazi prison camp adminstrators for years, and who stated on social media: “Tell them that if they expect to fight fascism without a good semi-automatic rifle, they ought to do some reading of history.”
Since the good comrades of the Progressive side of American politics call anyone to the right of Marx and Trotsky a “fascist”, this tends to be a bit worrisome.
As we’ve seen with Charlie Kirk — while the good comrades of the Progressives in America might not actually have the stones to do the deed themselves, they will happily sing, dance, cheer and outright celebrate the murder of conservatives.
They will happily vote into office murderers, and people who fantasise about the murder of conservative opponents — and about murdering of the children of those conservative opponents.
Whole bunch of y’all need to understand that the good comrades of the Progressive side of things hate you, and fantasise about killing you — and then you need to start training like it.
Exercise more. If Rita and I can get our butts into the gym two and three times a week, then you can, too.
Exercise every day. Work on your cardio, and work on your strength.
Maybe all you can do is walk — then walk. Walk a little further each day. And soon enough you’ll be able to add weigh to your walk — now you’re rucking. And ruck a little further each day.
If you want to lift weight, Rita and I have been doing Starting Strength for several years, and can recommend it. A Starting Strength program will give you the solid foundation you need to lift safely.
YouTube has kettlebell programs, mace programs, bodyweight workouts, animal flow workouts, calisthenics, and more. Find one you like, and start working out. Maybe you won’t like it after a couple of months — find another one and keep going.
Because there are people out there — violent people — who hate you. There are people out there — violent people — who fantasise about killing you, and who vote other people who fantasise about killing you into public office.
Train like it.

I completely agree with you. I am terrified, but will channel my terror into training. I've been away from the gym for over a year---weight lifting and cardio---I will get back to it, and to healthy eating. Also, getting back to the gun range to be ready for home defense if need be. I live in the beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia, the Mother of Presidents. I am nauseated by the radical takeover of Virginia.
Every republican and freedom lover out there: Get healthy, get strong. Strong, healthy people are harder to kill. Thank you for verbalizing what I have been feeling since Charlie Kirk's murder.
Exercise is good, but carrying a firearm regularly is better. Buy a gun and ammo. Get training. If you live in one of the 25 "Constitutional carry" states, then start carrying your concealed firearm wherever and whenever you can. Get a "License to Carry", or "Carry Concealed Weapon" certificate. I live in Texas, where an "LTC" certificate is inexpensive and easy to obtain if you're a law-abiding citizen.
More importantly, remain sober and maintain your situational awareness; the crazies almost always make it obvious that they're about to go crazy. Stay clear of crowds.
