‘A Kiss For Damocles’ by J. Kenton Pierce will be Raconteur Press’ third novel release:
It opens for pre-orders on 04 JUN 25.
If you’re fans of space opera, we suspect that y’all will be very pleased with this one. Pierce has built an entire universe, and has many, many more stories to tell in it — might as well get in on the ground floor.

J. Kenton Pierce brings us the first novel in the TALES FROM THE LONG NIGHT world, spanning thousands of years weaving a saga of resilience across a shattered universe.
We begin with A KISS FOR DAMOCLES, and the story of Shaifennen Roehe, a firecracker of a homesteader on the ravaged Hesperides Colony, where asteroids unleashed a cataclysmic Long Night. With a sawed-off shotgun, a heart full of grit, and a penchant for chaos, Shai’s no Chosen One—just a girl who refuses to stay down. Raised on a homestead amidst ash and ice, she’s got stars in her eyes, grenades in her pockets, and a knack for upending the plans of Townie bosses and merchant princes. In A Kiss for Damocles, Shai’s journey transforms her simple settlement into a booming keystone of a reborn civilization, all while shadowy forces and ancient horrors stir in the cosmos.
From Captain Ravati Aziz’s battle to keep peace in the sprawling underground of Greenline Town to the secret struggles of ranchers, clerks, and Gentle Walkers preserving humanity’s embers, these stories span centuries of loss and defiance. In a world of fallen empires, hostile xenos, and relentless war machines, Shai and countless others fight not just to survive, but to reclaim their heritage and storm the heavens to take back the stars.
Woo-hoo! Link above and here.

Question regarding Wyrd West anthology. First story (the best in the book imo) is by Evan Tarbell. I can find no other works by him, other than one more story in another anthology published by you. Has he really written nothing other than two short stories for your anthologies?
