Stop making every-day evil sexy.
I understand the allure of conspiracy theories. The human brain has been wired since we climbed down out of the trees to look for patterns. Being able to spot a pattern is what kept proto-hominids from becoming Australopithecus McNuggets in some Pleistocene predator’s Happy Meal.
Just because we don’t need to look for patterns every time we step out of our houses1 anymore doesn’t mean our brains don’t still give us a little hit of dopamine every time we think we spot a pattern — whether the pattern actually exists or not.
Conspiracy theories also feed into the American need for proportion.
The destruction of a child’s innocence is one of the ultimate sins. It is irredeemable evil of a level that makes sane adults willingly choose — demand — to take the life of the sinner. It is a vile corruption of the human soul that makes normal men and women nauseous to contemplate.
A taboo so heinous, so depraved, and so deeply wrong … must involve a framework of equal station. No human being can be capable of such perversion — it must be greater than that. It can’t be a single human being — like you or me. It must be a global cabal of Satanists bent on world domination using paedophilia for power and influence! That is the only excuse.
Conspiracy theories satisfy the American need for simple and ultimate resolutions. A hundred individual paedophiles requires a hundred individual investigations, a hundred individual trials, and years of effort and toil. If, instead, it’s a global cabal of Satanists bent on world domination using paedophilia for power and influence then a square-jawed hero could gun down the High Table — or whatever — and ride off into the sunset. Problem solved simply, decisively, and ultimately in one single night.
I grew up in Africa and the Middle East. I spent 26 years in American law enforcement. In-between the growing up and entering law enforcement I did contracted work.
I have seen each and every one of the hundred thousand ways that man is inhumane to man. I have sat across from psychopathic African warlords, spoken to sociopathic serial killers, and I have interviewed irredeemable child molesters.
You know what real evil is? It’s banal. Inane. Selfish. There is no Grand Design in evil; there is no hidden reason. A paedophile destroys a child’s innocence because the paedophile is hungry. That’s it.
Think of the evil humans in this world as rabid parasites2. They will consume a child’s innocence and leave a shattered husk because it satisfies an appetite. No more, no less. To ascribe world-domination aspirations to paedophiles is to ascribe world-domination aspirations to tapeworms.

No. Bunkum conspiracy theories muddy the water. Every time the internet has a salacious new conspiracy red herring the citizens get all stirred up and start demanding action from their elected officials. Only they’re not demanding that those officials go after Joe Spud the dime-a-dozen tech millionaire whose app got him the funds to finally taste that forbidden depravity — they want the Global New World Paedophile Cabal pulled down.
And those elected officials — who have a collective IQ somewhat less than that of a brain-damaged dung beetle — use the power of the budget, and the purse full of taxpayer funds, to influence investigations into “Teh Conspeeracee!”
Every time the investigators waste their time trying to “Unravel the threads of Global Conspiracy” the actual paedophiles breath a sigh of relief and double-check the Statute of Limitations.
Case in point? Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell. Convicted of, and currently serving time for, trafficking children for the purposes of sex to … apparently nobody.
When she gets, I don’t know, pulled in front of Congress, do our elected officials ask about the millionaires she provided children to? Do they ask about city councilmen? Pastors? Instagram influencers? Trade delegates? Fitness gurus? Do they ask about anyone who might have suddenly gained just enough wealth to indulge their depravity?
Hell, no. They grill her about the white whales. Trump. Clinton. Andrew. Those single threads that will “unravel the whole conspiracy.”
She was convicted in 2022. Four years ago. Four years of no further convictions — because everyone is focussed on the conspiracy-linked Big Names.
And the little parasites keep trundling along. Feeding. Destroying lives. Ignored, because the idiot conspiracy theories drive the power and money and resources and time to focus on … bushwa.
Y’all have no idea how much this frustrates me.

I refuse to use the term “predator”. Predators have a use.
Too many rich leftists and powerful leftists like to have sex with children. It's like a sacrament to communists. Is it organized? I don't think so. But too many 'important people' are covering for the ones caught, either because 1) they're doing it too, or 2) they owe or are owed favors, or 3) they're just evil too and don't have any issues with it.
The abuse of underaged pages in Congress is a wonderful example of this, and while democrats lead the way, I'd be surprised if the republicans weren't doing it as well. However, even when caught, no one is ever punished.
