Bloody Amazon.
Again.
About once a year Amazon decides to tinker around with their code, and they inevitably wind-up borking their system for about a month.
Usually they start their reindeer games in July, but looks like they kicked off this year’s festivities in May.
This year we had two releases take it in the neck: Wyrd West: Rawhide Revenants and Magic Malfunction.
What happens when Amazon does this, is that books wind up in the wrong categories, and sale numbers don’t get calculated for rankings. With no rankings, we don’t appear in the Top Five New Releases like we should, and when the sales numbers finally catch up, we’ve usually already slipped way down the list, and away from perusing eyes.
Annoying as all get-out, truth be told.
Anyhoo, our authors deserve to get paid, so if y’all could spread the word around a bit and get some new eyes on these worthy anthologies — and some new sales — we’d take it kindly.
Also, Wally Waltner’s 3rd serial in his Overture of Shadow will be dropping soon — order it quick, or you can wait for the full novel to drop later.
Appreciate it,
Ian and Rita
EDIT: Updated to add Magic Malfunction, because Ian hasn’t had coffee yet.

The Borkening also impacted Magic Malfunction's place in the New Release rankings, which gives me angst for the authors in that one as well.
I am also highly annoyed to see Amazon's follies impacting Raconteur. I have advertised the anthology on ricochet.com and my own pages in social media.
