The question was about which genre was easier to write humour into. Piers Anthony used puns, and puns are damned hard to write. Kudos to him, but doesn't mean its easy to write.
Writer's Cantina and Dragon Steel Nexus are both in Utah. That's the closest that I know of. Writer's Cantina is, from what I've heard, a small lit con like Fen Con, Liberty Con, and P Con. Dragon Steel (I have no clue if that's one word or two) is Brandon Sanderson's con that he started up a year or three ago.
In fairness. Anything in the warlord story can be glossed over as you were too young to be held accountable. Also, the fact that it's well out of the jurisdiction of anyone who would care.
When a certain neuroscientist of our acquaintance figures out how to download brains so we're not limited to meat space, Ben's got my vote to be the first one backed up. Jonna and Tully are in there as well. There's too much institutional knowledge there to lose.
Looking forward to seeing you and the crowd at Libertycon. Gods willing and the creek don't rise, we'll be hosting a house-warming party there. Y'all should expect to see invites assuming it all works out.
Humor in fantasy? You *have* heard of Piers Anthony, I hope?

Certainly true! I believe he’s deceased, correct?
Far as I know he's still around.
91 years old, but still among us, it seems.
Bob Asprin would like a few words. . .
Anyone know any good cons between Wyoming and South Dakota?

Rocket launcher? Ammo's ungodly expensive for 'em though.
As to humor, this whole thing triggered a memory of Asimov's tale of the fall of the Shah.
As I recall, the ammo was the point. Trying to get rid of the launcher was what made it so amusing.
I TOLD you the rocket launcher story was a winner!
I wasn’t worried about the rocket launcher story, I was worried about the warlord story.
BOTH stories are epic!
In fairness. Anything in the warlord story can be glossed over as you were too young to be held accountable. Also, the fact that it's well out of the jurisdiction of anyone who would care.
David Drake has multiple humorous fantasy stories. True, most of them are gallows humor, but they exist,
